Book series „International Vocational Education and Training Research“

The series “International Vocational Education and Training Research” provides a platform for publications by researchers in the fields of vocational education and training research, comparative education, sociology, political science and economics. The editors (Prof. Dr. Dietmar Frommberger, Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Michael Gessler, Prof. Dr. Matthias Pilz) take a broad approach, viewing vocational education and training as a phenomenon that transcends cultures, life stages, domains and institutions. The common ground and challenge lies in elucidating the interactions between work, education and society. In line with this orientation, the thematic potential ranges from micro research (e.g. classroom research) to macro research (e.g. education transfer) and from highly formalised and institutionalised educational programmes (e.g. school-based vocational education) to informal work-related educational programmes (e.g. learning in the work process). The monographs and anthologies in the series are published in German or English.
